It is not recommended to mix expanded clay and clay plant granules together. Expanded clay is a lightweight, porous material used for aeration and drainage in soil, while clay plant granules are typically used for moisture retention and as a soil amendment. Mixing these two types of materials together can result in an inconsistent soil structure and may not provide the intended benefits for plant growth. It's best to use each material separately for their specific purposes in soil composition. **

Additionally, clay objects can be glazed to make them waterproof by adding a layer of glass-like material that seals the surface. **

Modeling clay is not inherently waterproof, as it is typically made from water-based materials such as clay, water, and other additives. However, some modeling clays may become water-resistant or waterproof after they have been baked or cured. It is important to check the specific instructions and properties of the modeling clay you are using to determine its waterproof capabilities. If waterproofing is necessary, a sealant or waterproofing spray can be applied to the finished clay project. **
